Nucs and Bees for Sale
Southern California, San Diego County
Are you interested in getting into beekeeping or expanding your colony count? Each year, Wildflower Meadows features a limited amount of four-frame nucleus colonies for sale. We offer a newly introduced and accepted VSH-Italian (Varroa Sensitive Hygiene) queen — directly bred from artificially inseminated mite-resistant breeder stock and locally mated.
Each four-frame nuc is full of bees and consists of one frame of honey, one frame of pollen, and two frames of bee brood in various stages.
Nucleus Colonies are $145 each, and include a starter box.

* Three frame overwintered nucs are survivor starter colonies that have been wintered and fed through the off-season, and have successfully survived into the New Year with no mite treatments. Consisting of three frames in February, overwintered nucs include a proven VSH-Italian queen bred during the mid-summer of the previous year. These starter colonies are well established, and are ready to build up rapidly for the new season.
